Located just 5 km from the center of La Fortuna there are various ways to arrive there; walking, in taxi, or in your own car. The best option though is to ride the scenic trails atop your mighty steed.
After an hour on horseback, as you ride away from the hustle and bustle of the city you will make your way to the trail that will take you down to observe the 60 meter (nearly 200 foot) drop that the water takes as it flows along the Fortuna River. There you can take a dip in its crystal clear and cool waters beneath the roar of the La Fortuna waterfall.

There are daily departures from the principal hotels of La Fortuna and the area surrounding the Arenal Volcano.
Total duration: 4 hours
Time spent on horseback: approximately 2 hours.
Age limit: 6 years and up
We recommend that you bring: Lightweight, comfortable clothing appropriate for the activity; preferably pants and closed toed shoes. You also may want to bring a swimsuit and towel for swimming in the river.
